Strong body. Strong mind. Strong you.
My journey has always been about turning every “no” into a “yes.”
I began as a collegiate track-and-field athlete training for the Olympics. A major injury suddenly halted my career, and I was told I would never run again. Determined to find another way to move, I searched for an alternative form of cardio—and found Zumba.
As I rebuilt my strength, life brought more roadblocks: pregnancy complications, cancer, and two car accidents that resulted in multiple surgeries and limited movement. Once again, I was told I would never return to the fitness level I had known. But I refused to take no for an answer.
After a year of physical therapy and a 74-pound weight loss, I was able to fully recover and become a Zumba instructor. Zumba did more than help me move again—it helped me reclaim my strength, confidence, and purpose.
